Goings On at The Study

Just a quick note to give everyone an update for our group. 

1. Midnight bowling this Saturday night (Jan. 12) at Star Lanes on Tunnel Rd. Be there at 11:30 for some good bowling alley food, and then rack ‘em up and knock ‘em down.
2. Wednesday nights are currently at WOW (Worship on Wednesdays) at Pole Creek in the auditorium. Pastor Dennis is teaching through the Song of Solomon (yeah it can be pretty embarrassing at times, but this is really stuff we need to talk about). After that, Terry will jump into the book of Isaiah as we continue to journey through all 66 books of the Bible.
3. We have begun attending The Well at Biltmore Baptist on Thursday nights at 7:00. This is an area-wide gathering of local church singles groups. It is designed to get like-minded folks who are at similar stages in life together from all around. Tim Brady is the college/careers pastor at Biltmore and does a great job leading the study; There is great music and fellowship as well.  
4. Our class is in the process of developing a ministry focus. Adam Black and Shane Plemmons are researching opportunities locally and abroad that we may be able to participate in.
5. Everyone is encourage to grow in Christ through Spiritual Life University at Pole Creek on Sunday Nights beginning Feb. 10. Clink on the link to see all the available classes and register.

Christmas Party Update

The party is still on for this Friday night (Dec. 21st) at Andrea Powell’s place.  Go here for directions.

A few of reminders:

1. Wear your “most fantastic” Christmas sweater. (as seen above)
2. Bring a “white elephant” gift. Something quirky or cool under $10. You can even re-gift something you got but don’t want. We will be doing a “Chinese gift exchange”.
3. Bring whatever food or drink you were supposed to bring.
4. If you did not sign up for anything, bring something anyway. Homemade cookies, chips ‘n salsa, cocktail shrimp, ribs, roast duck, whatever…just make it something good.

Christmas Party

Hey everybody,  just let all of you know we are having a Christmas get-together at Andrea Powell’s Friday Dec. 21st at 6:00. We had previously set the date for Dec. 14 but Kelly and I will not be able to attend that day because of her company picnic. So BE THERE Dec. 21st.  Also, bring a “white elephant” gift.  That’s a gift that is weird, unique, stupid, strange, or otherwise for a gift exchange.  We will draw numbers and exchange gifts and who knows, you might get something you like (one man’s strange is another man’s cool) The gift money limit is  $10 (I personally have found it best to find that really odd thing I already own).  Please email me and let me know if you can make it.

Hello all, thanks for stopping by.  This site will be used to update all of you on the goings on with the PCBC Singles and The Study Sunday school class. I will post events and provide some video and music that is relevant to us. Please check back often, or even better, subscribe to the feed and get an update when something new is posted. The music and videos will constantly be growing, so be sure to check that out as well.  Email me to let me know what you think about the site (comments/ideas).

On Saturday Nov. 17th we will be meeting at Fun Depot at 11:00am. We will meet in the entrance and converge on the food area at 11:15 to fill our bellies -so I can knock it out of somebody on the go-carts   We plan on staying for about 2 hrs or until people get tired, run out of funds, etc.  Let me know if any of you would like to carpool and we can arrange it.
